Vail Resorts has begun selling its line of Epic Pass products for the 2024/2025 winter season, even as lifts continue running at many of its properties across the U.S. On sale now with Early-bird pricing for a limited time, the Epic Pass is available in various unlimited flavors, or for a certain number of discounted days. In the Mid-Atlantic, Vail-owned properties including Pennsylvania’s Liberty Mountain, Roundtop Mountain, Whitetail, Jack Frost, Big Boulder, Seven Springs, Laurel Mountain, and Hidden Valley Resorts.
The premium, no-restricted Epic Pass is currently on sale for $982 and offers unlimited, unrestricted access at all Mid-Atlantic resorts as well as 37 additional resorts worldwide including properties such as Vail, Breckenridge, Telluride, Heavenly, Stowe, Okemo, and Whistler Blackcomb. This pass can be a great option for local skiers who also plan on taking one or more destination trips to New England or out West.
The Epic Local Pass offers many of the same benefits of the Epic Pass, while adding some peak date restrictions at a subset of properties and providing an upper limit of 10 total days across Vail, Beaver Creek, and Whistler Blackcomb. Unlimited, non-restricted access to all Mid-Atlantic Properties is provided with the $731 Epic Local Pass.
For skiers and boarders who plan to stay on the East Coast, the $600 Northeast Value Pass provides access to 21 resorts including all Vail properties in the Mid-Atlantic, as well as properties in New England and the Midwest. Some restrictions apply to New England properties; peak dates are included on this Pass at Okemo, Mount Snow, and Hunter Mountain, and the Pass provides a total of up to 10 non-peak days at Stowe.
Epic Season Passes begin to increase in price as the season approaches, so skiers and boarders who invest early receive the deepest discounts.
Epic Day Passes can also be purchased, providing a significant discount off of lift window pricing for a set number of days purchased in advance. This can lower the per-day pricing to as low as $44 per day.
Guests who purchased an individual lift ticket at a Vail-owned property during the 2023/2024 winter season can apply the cost of that ticket — up to $100 — towards the price of a 2024/2025 Season Pass, if they can provide a receipt of the ticket purchase.
Epic Passholders receive additional benefits throughout the season, including ten Buddy Tickets and six Ski with a Friend tickets (when purchasing the Epic pass with early-bird pricing), and 20% off on-mountain food and beverage purchases, lodging, group ski and ride lessons, rentals, and more.
Vail Resorts is also offering a substantial discount to active and retired military and their dependents. At $172, the Epic Military Active and Retired Pass provides unlimited, unrestricted access to 42 resorts. The $561 Epic Military Veteran Pass is available to veterans and their dependents.
A new rental program is also being rolled out at some Vail properties, called My Epic Gear. Memberships in this program will enable guests to reserve gear in advance at 12 North American properties, including Vail, Whistler Blackcomb, and Park City Mountain. Guests can try a different piece of gear each day, selecting from over 60 of the most popular and latest 2024/2025 ski and snowboard models, and have the gear ready and tuned up on their arrival, delivered to their resort or available slopeside. They can bring their own boots or include boots with personalized insoles. Memberships in this package will be limited and sold for $50 per person. After purchasing a membership, a discounted daily use fee will be charged for each day of rentals at the 12 participating resorts.
Vail Resorts also recently announced a new technology within the My Epic app called My Epic Assistant, which will use advanced AI and expert knowledge to instantly answer questions guests have about Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone, with more resorts added in future seasons.

ok, thanks.
One option I did not see listed in the article are the college passes:

$661 for the pass that is good for all resorts. $491 for a pass that is just good for Breck and Keystone, which is less useful for DC area skiers unless maybe they are taking a spring break trip to summit county.
