Any prediction on Canaan/timberline’s condition around new year time?

We are heading to the valley 12/30-1/3. So far no travel restrictions for WV so fingers crossed.

It would be my 4 yr old’s first ski trip. I am hoping for decent condition at Canaan since it’s free for the kid. But I am open to head to timberline instead assuming it would have better snowmaking under new management.

Also, any prediction on whether or not we will have ski school this year? Hope I don’t need to teach her myself.

any recommendation on where to pick up rentals for her? I know there is ski-barn. Any place in the town of Davis?

In Davis, next to the fire station, is the ski shop Driftland. They provide ski and snowboard rentals as well as equipment repair and accessories. Show up on the mountain, grab your tickets, and get on the lift...no more crowded ski rental rooms to deal with...highly recommended. Canaan has all the information regarding ski school on their website. The winter is shaping up to be a good one with over a foot of natural so far...I'm stoked to be psyched and psyched to be stoked...let's drop the ropes and ride...yew!
