Woohoo, this gives me some small hope, WISP has already blown some snow. From the WEBCAMS:

Noticed this Saturday on the cams there was a coating of the white stuff on the run out in front of the lodge! Cool!!! Wonder who is going to be the 1st to open. Weather doesn't look too helpful for the next week and it sure looks like its going to be dicey as to whether SnowShoe is able to open its slopes on T-day.

I was up at Timberline for the weekend. Despite cold evening temperatures, the resort did not turn on the guns. I guess they've decided not to push for an early opening--especially given the warm-up on tap for later this week. 9 December remains the opening date according to the web site and also according to one manager I spoke to this weekend.
