I just used Yahoo map and Mapquest for directions to 7 Springs, and to my surprise Yahoo map shows 4 hours 16 minutes for the trip, and Mapquest is only 3 hours 26 minutes. Both site indicate distance of 180+ miles. How long does it usually take? I have a ski trip group checking in on Dec 23. I have to be there by 5pm to get the group package. How long does it usually take to get to 7 Springs? Will traffic be heavy on Dec 23?

It takes about 3 to 3.5 hours. It's hard to tell how traffic will be but I'd be pretty sure it will be busy.

There was some construction on I-70 last year in the winter time. This made the drive even more scarry than usual. They were adding lanes or some such. But I think that is mostly cleared up right?

From Alexandria (near Mt Vernon) it is 212 miles and takes 4 hrs to about 4 hrs 15 min.
