One of the people I ski with was excited to note that there is a slope that contains their surname in the same of a trail. I was thinking about getting them a replica of the trail sign.

On the way though Laurel Mountain Village, there used to be a home that had signs for sale. I have not seen them open recently. Does anyone know if they are out of business or have an online presence? (etsy?) Does anyone know if there any other local people that make/sell trail signs? I have seen the gnarwalls ads on facebook but I prefer to shop local, and want it to look like a sign from the actual resort. No, I do not want one taken from the actual ski area.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

I constantly get Facebook ads for a ski slope sign with "your name" on it. It's a nice break from all the other ads that are, how should I put, very poor contextual targeting.

UPDATED: It's called Gnarwalls

HV sells them in the ski shop for a handful of the most popular slopes but they are kind of flimsy/cheap.  And the overwhelming odds are that your friend's surname is not Imperial, Thunderbird or Riviera, LOL.

There is a sign shop in Greensburg PA that is an awesome business (Blue Sky Sign Co) with wonderful people but it may be out of their wheelhouse.

Found someone on Etsy that had groups of signs for the "laurel highlands 3" and one set included the trail name I was looking for. Will post name of Etsy seller once I see the quality of product.
