Cryptic, honest, live webcam. The camera is at the Appalachian Gap, the point where VT Rt. 17 crosses the Long Trail (hiking trail that runs along the spine of the Green Mtns. from Mass. to Canada). This is about 1/2 mile from Mad River Glen's slopes, between General Stark Mountain (MRG) and Camel's Hump. The camera and site are maintained by local super skier Mark Haviland. He has no vested interest in anything so it is completely honest and an excellent insight into natural snow conditions in northern VT. It is updated frequently during the season but not every day.
