Holiday Snowfall
December 26, 2004
Snow has been reported in Southern Louisiana....the next few days may be EPIC!
I've looked at all the weather sites and there is nothing in the forecast for snow in our WV regional area for thenext week at least. In fact later next week it looks like temps will be in the 50's during the day with rain a few days.
Is there supposed to be some big snow??
I saw those forecasts...they don't look too positive. However, I got an e-mail from a friend from school who is in Louisiana and she reported snow. I know Indiana has had some in the last day or two as well. Looks like a big cold front is moving through today and tomorrow, and here's to hoping that the forecasts are wrong. Think SNOW!
Heh I'md efinately thinking snow, but after last week when the storm front sputtered after the Allegheny's and left only a few flurries here in the eastern panhandle, I'm cautiously optimistic.
Some parts of South Texas actually got over a 1 and 1/2 FEET of snow! The first white Christmas since 1918 for some people was a hum-dinger.
Don't count on getting any of that up here though
Call me crazy, but this christmas didn't feel like christmas without it snowing, having snow on the ground or having month old snow still frozen as ice. I was looking on accuweather for the long range 15 day forecast and it appears the highs for the next week are gonna be in the 40-50*F range with lows in the 28-40*F range with heavy rains at the end of next week. Is it me or is this ski season gonna turn into what the snow will after it rains... mushy slush?
I was in Eastern NC at my family's house. I awoke to about 2 inches of snow and it kept coming. Drove home and got into Virginia to nothing. The Weather Channel shows snow all around are area with DC and Liberty Mt getting nothing. sigh
