... QUICK SHOT OF SNOWFALL POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND...

A FAST MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL RACE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION BY SATURDAY NIGHT. MOISTURE IN ADVANCE OF THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA SATURDAY AND CONTINUE INTO MUCH OF SATURDAY EVENING. MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO TAKE THE FORM OF SNOW... ALTHOUGH SOME LOCATIONS COULD SEE A MIX OF SNOW AND RAIN... OR JUST PLAIN RAIN DEPENDING ON THE EXACT TRACK THAT THE SYSTEM TAKES. AT THIS TIME... THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR THE FIRST WIDESPREAD SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF SNOW ACROSS THE REGION SEEN THIS WINTER SEASON. HOWEVER IT IS TOO FAR IN ADVANCE TO DETERMINE EXACT SNOWFALL TOTALS GIVEN THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE STORM TRACK... AND SUBSEQUENT WARM AIR THAT COULD MOVE INTO PARTS OF THE AREA....
