Wintergreen Report
January 21, 2005
Hi,
I made it out to Wintergreen this morning. Conditions were good, although I had hoped that a couple more trails would be open. I can't really complain about that though, because the snowguns have been running non-stop. On the Highlands side Upper Cliffhanger and Lower Wild Turkey were open, constituting one top-to-bottom run. Snow guns were blasting away on upper wild turkey (skier's left) and devils elbow; one ski patroller I spoke with said he thought there was a decent chance these could be open this weekend, but of course who knows for sure.
On the other side of the resort Sunrise, Eagles swoop, and Tequila were open. No snow has been made on most of Big Acorn so it will probably be a bit before this one is open.
All in all a pretty good morning.
Thanks for the info. I'm headed to Wintergreen this weekend. I still ski greens so I hope upper and lower Dobie are open. I've did Eagle's Swoop a few weeks ago but I still need some work
