Snow/Coverage: dry/plenty on all groomed trails. The two "natural" areas (cougar bowl/devil's drop) had some bearish spots (DD was not open this weekend.) Moguls were on Main Street. The FACE, last yrs massive mogul monster was groomed -- made for an enjoyable run really with a nice steep pitch. What looked like jumps, half-pipe and rails were on the offing in the terrain park.
Crowds: manageable on sat/medium-ish on sunday
Prices: i think $50 for day pass is a bit high for this resort. The inside lunch area qualifies as a zoo at best. Free ski check-in area is nice.
Overall: I like wisp, this is only my 2nd time there. Its lack of advanced intermediate/expert areas is a problem but I can cope. Clearly a fun area for the whole family and the area offers more than just skiing. Reasonably close to DC (3-3.5 hr drive).
They are expanding the runs over one side of the mountain, with plans to build an upper lodge and other recreation facilities.
