Be glad you aren't taking your coveted K2's. In Europe, folks do not line up nicely as they do in the U.S. Expect people to step all over your skis in line. Kids will crowd past you and stomp on your skis as well. As for rentals, you should be able to find a slew of really nice skis available. Most of what we get here is in Europe as well. You may have to pay extra for a "premium" set of rentals, but you should find decent rentals.

I'm headed to Europe in a couple days.

Alas, I can't take my spiffy new K2 Axis X's... wouldn't be too fun schlepping around for 2 weeks on trains after skiing done.

I hear demo K2s may not be so common in my destination of Andorra.

Anybody know of a decent (European made) substitute ski? Rossignol, Volkl....?

I don't do bumps (2 back surgeries) but I have a speed obsession with lots of carving.
