I just returned from 3 midweek days at 7 Springs. Stayed in the highrise hotel (slopeview nice, but not really necessary). Skiing was fantastic, whole trip was an excellent value...bought the midweek ski pkg. Restaurants served great food at better than reasonable prices (I was plaeansntly surprised, for ex. shrimp stuffed with crabmeat dinner for $18. Bountiful breakfast buffet, part of ski package. Good service. Really enjoyed horse drawn sleigh ride. Hot tubs are private, but overpriced. Fantastic video game room, nice indoor pool. Much to do...mini golf, bowling, tubing, etc. Forget asking guest services (in main hotel) for info, basically unhelpful, especially when asked for sample menus, hours of gift shop, etc. Excellent resort transportation system, during my stay they provided on-call private shuttle services! Large room, clean. Need better TV reception such as cable. Need readily available weather data in your room. Ski area fully open, and 6+ inches of new snow on Friday. Free guest overnight ski storage both at hotel and in ski base lodge. A good value, high quality experience for less $ than expected, or when compared to another favorite place, Snowshoe. Really enjoyed myself!
