Snowshoe Mountain's Adventure Department opened up
the resort's Nordic trails on Saturday (29 November)and are still open for Cross-Country
Skiers and Snowshoers. Nine inches of natural snow provided by Mother
Nature and the thick spruce trees around Snowshoe Mountain back country
folks a chance to have some fun on about 5 - 10k of trails between the
Snowshoe and Silver Creek areas. All the trails were ungroomed and the wind
was blowing but those out on the trails got their first taste of winter fun
at Snowshoe Mountain. Those wanting to get out on the snow before alpine
operations begin at Snowshoe Mountain need to call the resort's Outdoor
Adventure 304-572-5477.
