We can't decide whether or not to drive 6 hours to ski Snowshoe on Sat. Feb 26. I hope someone who skiied there today can tell me if the slopes are too wet or slushy to make the long drive worthwhile.

Just returned from a four day visit to Snowshoe last week. 54 trails were open and although there were a few brown patches on some trails after the warm temps on Wed, Thur and Friday, the skiing was good. I spotted a few skiiers in shorts... Snowshoe has returned to making snow now that temps are colder, so I think you will find the mountain, skiable.
