Believe it or not, your best bet for accomodations is:
http://www.stantonamarlberg.com/
All places in the area can be booked via the official site.
In Austria, stars refer more to ammenities than quality. Hence, a 5 star will have several restaurants, a pool, a sauna, etc, etc. whereas a 2 star will simply have comfortable rooms and perhaps a breakfast (Frühstück) room. A decent 2 star is Inge--fairly convenient to the central ped zone and lifts with perfectly comfortable rooms. If you want to spend bucks: Hotel Schwarzer Adler (4 star) has an awsome indoor pool.
PS You can save a lot of money at St. Anton by not renting a car. St. Anton is on a main ICE (Inter City Express) route from Switzerland to Austria--you can catch direct ICEs from both Zurich and Innsbruck. Munich is also fairly easy to get to from STANTON. Once at St. Anton, you can can get almost anywhere by skis or by their very convenient, free shuttle bus system. Both Inge and Schwartzer Adler are within walking distance of the Bahnhof.
