I was watching NBC4 weather earlier and it showed that Saturday in the northern VA area temps should reach and hold around 55*F. Since me and a friend are planning to hit Timberline, or any other resort that has the best snow conditions what are you all's thoughts on conditions this weekend? Where there be lots of melt or will some resorts be able to have enough cold temps to even possibly keep making snow??

Temps are supposed to plummet going into Sunday and Monday. Don't know if WV is schedule for snow or not, but they are calling for a high in Baltimore of 28 on Sunday. Should translate to 20 or colder out in CV. Could be looking at icy conditions later in the weekend.

BA, I was at Timberline today and the snow
was in great shape. We got a dusting last
night and some flurries today. I think it
may have gotten up to about 40 today. Its
31 and dropping now. I think they are
calling for the mid 40's on Friday and
Saturday. Then back to the 20s for Sunday.
I doubt that Timberline will see a lot of
melt with those temps. Timberline even made
a little snow last night. Not sure where but I could hear the guns running. BTW, if you are into terrain parks, they finally got the rails installed on Lower Dew Drop.
