Rent Skiing Clothing
January 14, 2016
In the next Christmas I'll be going to Wintergreen resort, I'm not American and I have no clothes for skiing. I wonder who can recommend a place, either in DC or in Wintergreen to rent ski clothes
Thanks
It looks like this shop has a location near Wintergreen that rents ski equipment and winter clothing:
https://www.skibarn.net/reserve-nowI have never used this shop and can't vouch for their quality, but believe they are an advertiser here on DCSki and should provide an acceptable product? You might want to call or email them first to verify they have what you need.
I can vouch for SkiBarn. It is at the foot of the mountain on the way to Wintergreen and its a good place. I would definitely call them ahead of time especially during Christmas season.
*Buy* at least 1 pair of ski-specific socks for each person going.
Trust me on this. You will be much happier.
goodwill might have what you need for cheap
JIMK Hello, I checked the website and noticed that only

At the bottom of that page they offer bibs (ski pants), jackets, and helmets for rent. All you need to bring is your jockey shorts
But you should check soon, rather than wait to last minute to reserve the items just in case they have none left when you get there.
That link lists jackets, bibs, helmets.
I seriously doubt any place would actually rent hats, gloves, thermal underwear, socks, fleece/sweaters, etc., but I may be wrong. Look for places to buy them cheap/used. If you spend a winter in the Washington DC area, you often need that stuff anyway just walking around town.
Paging Jimmy. Jimmy, Jimmy? We'll take up a group collection to reinstate a star or two.
I saw it, thank you very much for the help
For everyone's information, I called Ski Barn because I taking a group of friends from Latin America to Snowshoe this weekend-they do rent jackets and bibs for $15 and $10 a day, respectively.
