Does any one have any experience with the kids ski school programs at canaan valley?
Or any other good or bad ski school reviews?

I have never been to Canaan, but Liberty offers a nice kids program. Sign up for the Camp. It starts at age 4. You drop the kids off at their Children's Center (FYI: You can purchase all your lift tickets and rentals there as well - even most of their packages) and they handle everything. If you do the full day one, you get 2 lessons (2 hours each)with a snack break during them, lunch, lift ticket, etc. Best of all, with the Camp, you just drop of your child. They get the rental equipment set, dress your child, get them in the right lesson, feed them, etc.!!!!!!!! You do need to make a reservation for it though.

Whitetail has a program similar to Liberty. We enrolled our 4 year old daughter and it was marvelous. I'll never forget (nor will my back) watching a ski instructor skiing down the beginner slopes backwards bent over holding the tips of her skis.

Can't recommend enough a full-day kids program to teach a kid to ski.
