1. The industry standard is to report the highest lift served vertical and use that as their number. Hence, Snowshoe reports 1,500--the vertical of the Western Territory. If you look at the vertical rise of most trails in VT, most only cover a little more than 1,000 feet of vertical. Only a handful of mountains like Stowe have multiple trails covering over 2,000 feet of vert. In any event, it's not just about vert., skiable acreage, snowmaking capacity, and uphill transportation are just as important if not more.
2. Skidder trail or top of Ballhooter trail is at 4800 feet and Shavers
Lake is at 4000 feet, hence 800 vertical.
3. Silver Creek is about 650 vertical.
