Thinking about making one last trip to SS. Any comments about the weather forecast for the rest of the week from some of the locals. Checked several weather sites and they call for rain and temps right at freezing. Has anybody been to SS this week

Mother nature looks like she will be trying her best to make this next w-end, the last for snowshoe(is it the last for timberline?)a little wintry.Calling for 2 to 4" above 4500' in the NW NC mtns with a mention of 1 to 2" at the highest WV mtns mixed in with rain.You go girl!!!

545 am update day before april fools(so this aint no joke!)SNOWING moderately with the ground covered up in the boone,nc snow country with snow to follow at the shoe.NWS is calling for 2" on thur with snow showers thru fri nite up in the west va highlands!!Thats the way to end the season

What's the deal? Whitegrass has a post from a weather forecast that says their could be a major snowstorm brewing above 3K in WV tomorrow and Friday. Are we going into closing weekend with some Sierra Powder? Has the forecast been revised? Snowshoe is reporting 3 inches of new snow and building...

We are getting thunderstorms & 65 degrees at the coast down here in se,NC...with snow falling all day up in the nc mtns!The shoe has the potential to bow out of this season with a 12" snowfall!!!

Planning on heading to SS tomorrow afternoon. Anybody know how the roads are coming in from Harrisonburg? Hopefully there will be a break in the weather tomorrow.
