Quite a few people have brought up the snow guarantee in the recent weeks so I thought I'd share this from their site:

The determination of competitors’ skiable acreage open is based on daily snow reports published on onthesnow.com and recorded each day at 9am EST.  Some limitations apply. Please note that this is an available terrain guarantee only. No vouchers will be given for weather or lift related conditions. No cash refunds will be granted. Vouchers are not transferable and not for re-sale.

Seems that weather is an out for them and this guarantee is almost never applicable.  Not that I care, it doesn't apply to season passes anyhow.

How is weather an out?  Also, with Timberline being open and Snowshoe being closed, doesn't the guarantee apply currently?  I guess since they are offering refunds for lift tickets, it's a moot point.

And how is it almost never applicable? It seems like any day they are open at all, it applies. It says if they are open, they will have more terrain available than competitors, guaranteed.
