Hi,

I am new to the forum, so I hope it's appropriate to mention gear for sale here. Anyway, I have a pair of 172 cm Soul 7 with Vist bindings set on 295mm boots. Bought new this year, yellow version from last year, excellent condition, literally used only 6 days in Telluride. $400. Too short for my type of skiing (too fast for my own good - my previous skis were Line Prophet 100s which are much more stable at speed). I am happy to share my impressions on the skis and length recommendations.

On a separate topic, I come from Italy and have skied a lot there, so I would happy to provide some info in case anybody is interested.

They are great skies but I like my my Blizzard Bonifides ... however ! Do you have family in Italy? I ask because I desperately want to get a pair of Palmer P01s but they do not ship to the USA. I would order them and pay a fee to who ever I could ship them to and then of course pay for shipping from there in Italy to me in the USA.

I do have family in Italy. I looked into shipping skis in the past though and it is expensive (I was quoted more than $150) and very complicated because it's outside the European Union and you need to do the custom declaration and pay duties from there. The killer is the custom process. This is the reasons ski stores don't ship skis to the US. But if you want to discuss send me a message.

I don't need skis, but I love me some Italy!  The Dolomites are one of my favorite places to ski (Cortina, specifically).  I also got engaged in Venice, so have fond memories of northern Italy.

I got to go back last fall for a short business trip to Milan for a few days.  Debating planning a ski trip to Arabba next year, but will probably opt for Switzerland or France only due to the higher elevation (better liklihood for good snow).

Snow conditions in the Alps are now completely random. Last Christmas holidays were a disaster, but it has been great since late January. I skied a couple of weeks ago in France/Italy and it was fantastic, the best off-piste skiing I ever had in the Alps. My father just called me from Champoluc (Val d'Aosta, on the Monte Rosa), conditions are still very good. It makes planning very difficult.
