North Adams Transcript Article

More horse trading with regard to small but excellent mountains. I've never skied Brodie but it's apparently a hidden gem. I have skied nearby Jiminy Peak and LOVED it--a very nice mountain. Brodie has been closed since 2002. Hopefully, this new owner will get it back online. Perhaps there is hope after all for small mountains.

sorry but the 5th paragraph down says....

However, the deed filed with the Adams registry stipulates a restriction created by FO Ski Resorts, which prohibits Silverleaf from owning and/or permitting a public commercial downhill skiing and/or snowboarding facility on the property.

Jimney Peak owners that sold it did not want competition so they ensured Brodie would not come back to life. This is a shame. I just may stop skiing Jimney Peak.

I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out. I wonder if that clause can be challenged in court.
