7 day snowfall totals

Copper 15 inches

Vail 16 inches

A-Basin 17 inches

Breckenridge 22 inches

Beaver Creek 23 inches

Keystone 26 inches

21 of Keystone's 26 inches fell in the last two days.

Skied Beaver Creek on Monday and almost got trapped in Vail by a 40+ car/truck pileup on Vail Pass. People think they can keep going 70+ mph on an inch of snow - they can't. The road was closed for over 6 hours. I got back to Breckenridge by driving 11 miles back to the west side of Vail, then 33 miles south to Leadville on Route 24,  then 22 miles north to Copper Mountain on Colorado 91. It beat the heck out of waiting for I-70 to clear.

It is. We've had three straight powder days: 9 inches on Tuesday at Vail. 7 inches yesterday at Keystone, and another 7 inches today at Keystone  -- and it has not been "spring break" crowded. I dunno why.

and just heard the weather forecast -- another 8 to 16 inches coming starting tomorrow.
