If you like to MTB then dont miss the local MD/DC/VA club called MORE (Mid Atlantic Off Road Enthusiasts). They have excellent information on local trails, trail conditions, and of course equipment. They organize group rides, camping trips, and trail maintenance for the local area. Everyone is extremely friendly and I'm certain that most enjoy riding mountains on boards too.
