Off the beaten path in southwest Colorado, Wolf Creek is known for some of the most plentiful snowfall in the state. Relatively uncrowded, with little development other than basic services at the base, this place draws determined powder hounds and folks who don't mind climbing for some turns in double black diamond terrain like Alberta Peak shown in this shot (click on "view full size" for a good look at Alberta Peak). The lifts top out at 11,900' with a 1600' vertical drop.
