I was thinking last week that with all the early snow & cold out west that the odds favored a shift of the cold to the east just in time for T-giving.Looking at the latest accuweather long range forecast it shows just that.We just have to hope that the weekend is rain free.If it warmed up but stayed dry that would be fine with all the snow the ski areas could build up..+ there could be a snowstorm or 2 mixed into the mix..Think poss & think SNOW!

The polar Express will be arriving after midnite tonite almost on schedule! Mon nite will be plenty cold enough for snow making but they might use that nite to freeze up the ground. This looks like an extended cold spell...keep the fingers crossed for T-giving(NWS,Accuweather,Wxrisk,MRF 10 day model all agree)

Looks like Snowshoe will be blowing tonight. Below I pasted a blurb from their home page.

Quote:

Snowmaking Set to Begin Tuesday Morning...
With overnight temperatures expected to be in the low 20's, snowmaking will begin late Monday night and continue into Tuesday in preparation for opening day, set for November 24. Stay tuned for pictures of the snowmaking.
