I'm guessing there are some people here who know women who have to work to find pants that are short enough, long enough, or fit well enough without being too big or too tight in places. An Australian woman is hoping to get started making snow pants that are flexible enough to address all sizes and shapes. Deadline for the Kickstarter is coming up soon. Shipment planned in time for the 2021-22 season.

I'm petite and like the features. Designer is a snowboarder, which is actually good for skiers. One of my favorite snow pants that I used at Massanutten are snowboard pants. More pockets. Price is right if the Kickstarter succeeds.
Ah the eternal search; unfortunately being petite makes it an order of magnitude harder. It seems like all the "big" folks think the typical woman is 5'6" and up and love to wear form-fitting stuff instead of practical. My dad used to say "if you got it - flaunt it" but that makes no sense in this situation. I understand there really isn't a good solution except to get something not so fitted and get it tailored. An idea is to go for bump skier's gear since they tend to be compact and powerful. Maybe this?

I couldn't care less about how snow pants look. Ask my daughter. She is much more picky about colors. Although she ended up with black pants because they fit well enough. The pants I have that fit the best are the ones I sent off to a specialist who can shorten snow pants and retain the waterproof aspect of the seams. Another pair that I got on sale from Freestyle in Charlottesville fits fine at the waist but is far too long. I just fold them up when not in my ski boots.
What's nice about Nobody's Princess is that the idea is to make pants that are comfortable for any woman of any height or shape. The creator is a snowboarder who split more than one pair of pants as she was learning. Once she decided to design pants for women, she research all the features of interest, not just comfort and fit.
Kickstarter ends in just over a week. The Early Bird price is already gone. The next best reward price for one pair is about $170, plus shipping. I've pledged for a pair and am hoping the campaign succeeds. Not getting the black pair. ;-)
To learn a bit more about the creator, check the interview on TheSkiDiva from early August.
A CHAT WITH MARIA BAKER OF NOBODY’S PRINCESS: SNOW PANTS MADE BY WOMEN, FOR WOMEN
Hey all - nice to come across this thread - Nobody's Princess is my project!
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask!!
It's not the first time I've heard this in the last 12 months... and to be honest, I'd actually love to design a 2nd brand and line for men!!! I think no one regardless of sex should be held back doing something they love because of a piece of fabric.....
The first hurdle is to get this Kickstarter off the ground, so I can go into production and then expand from there. If you can share the word, pledge, or get behind it in anyways - it's a step in the right direction...

Hello! Nice to "see" you here. Best of luck!
With a week to go, the Early Bird pricing is gone. The Late Bird discount is still available.
For more about the background research that Maria did before getting the first prototype in 2020:
Why too many women end up buying men’s snow pants to ski/board in
With just over a day to go, looks like there is a good chance the goal will be met.
