Does anyone know what the near term improvement plans are for Timberline beyond snowmaking improvements that most resorts claim to do each year?   Would love to see a second lift to the top (like the old thunder draft lift) to better handle the busy weekend days and of course more terrain.   They've done such a great job with the improvements so far and turning the resort around in a very short time and its popularity has skyrocketed it seems (and will only become more popular as we continue to have warm winters really limiting what resorts closer to DC can offer).    How are the parking lots handling the increased traffic on weekends?

As for parking, they have multiple auxiliary lots and a shuttle service.

An employee did confirm to me that somewhere down the line they'd like to open a new lift on the Salamander side as you mentioned, but that was just casual conversation.

It seems like that whole Davis/Thomas area is set to blow up in the next decade.

wow, who would a thunk.  I expect to find a muddy trench spot near the split rail fence or some tree root.
