Running DCSki has been a personal passion project. For all these years, I've managed the site singlehandedly, dedicating countless hours and resources. While advertiser support has helped sustain DCSki, social media giants like Facebook have drawn most advertising revenue away, making it increasingly challenging for independent platforms to thrive.
DCSki has offered a way for users to contribute to the site by making a donation, although I've rarely promoted that feature. But many of you have found it on your own, and I really appreciate the support you've provided.
I've implemented a new feature for supporters of DCSki. Starting today, anyone who donates to DCSki will enjoy the following benefits for 12 months:
- Ad Control: Customize your ad experience by choosing to display all ads, only non-intrusive local ads from long-time supporters, or no ads at all.
- Supporter Badge: Show your support with a special badge displayed alongside your posts in the Forum.
If you've contributed in the past year, your benefits should activate automatically. If it's been a while, your next donation will unlock these features for another 12 months.
