DCski's forum has been the go-to site for "local" ski venting for years. Ski Southeast has also been great.
But since Epicski died a few years ago I have not found a similar site for the West Coast. As I am not cool enough for Reddit.
Does anyone know of one?
Not the same as trip reports by individual skiers but you can learn a great deal by following the daily avalanche report narrative and pictures. Pictures dont lie, but resort conditions reports are biased. Every major ski region has an avalanche center and the reporting format is standardized across the country. Here is the central sierra report
Open Snow is also very good. There are Open Snow reports for all major ski regions. It has a modest annual subscription fee.

If you follow these reports daily, you’ll have a very good idea of what’s going on.

Epic's successor, PugSki.com now SkiTalk.com. Scott interviewed Phil and Trica here.
Yeah, this is a no-brainer. There are threads for each region.
Quite a few of the posters here are very active/moderators on Ski Talk.
