I know, I know, it's still "mid-season" in some ways and feels too soon to think about next season.  These days, planning ahead is the way to get the best value out of a multi-resort pass or resort season pass(es).  Epic, Ikon, and the Mountain Collective Pass (MCP) sales usually start by mid-March.  The Indy Pass sent out emails to existing for former pass holders today about a new renewal process.  Public sales for Indy start March 1 and won't last long.

I opted for multiple resort passes for 2024-25, plus Indy.  Since I planned to ski a few favorite resorts 10+ days, my per day cost will be pretty good.  However, for next season, I may go back to Ikon plus MCP, with a Massanutten pass and Indy.  In any case, I'll be doing calculations in the next month or two to get the lowest price for whatever combination of passes I decide to get after I decide where I want to ski next season.

The list for 2024-25 for the Indy Pass for the southeast and mid-Atlantic was pretty long.  Indy plans to have at least 250 locations for next season.  Hard to know if there are any being considered within driving distance for DCSki folks.  Jay Peak is the destination resort on Indy in the northeast.

Anyone who hasn't had an Indy Pass and would like one should sign up on the Wait List this week.  Public sales start on March 1.  Last year the early sales period lasted about a week.  There is no guarantee when or if more Indy passes will be sold later on for 2025-26.  All depends on how many new locations are added.

INDY PASS 2024-25

PA: Blue Knob, Shawnee, Tussey, Sawmill, Ski Big Bear, Montage

MD: Wisp

VA: Bryce, Massanutten, Wintergreen

WV: Canaan Valley, Winterplace

NC: Cataloochee, Hatley Pointe

TN: Ober

Have learned that anyone who wants to renew Indy but would like to change to a different type of Indy Pass should auto-renew.  Then send an email later to request the change.  Sounds like they would like the change requests to come after public sales end but still in the spring.  Would be charged or refunded the amount based on the Early Renew pricing.

I already bought my Indy base pass.  I’m looking forward to next season and hitting the various mid Atlantic resorts.  Timberline has become too crowded on Saturdays.

I'm interested to see where the Epic and Ikon passes price out this year, considering that it sounds like numbers were down for people buying the Epic pass last year.

Wintergreen & Wisp just posted their 2025-26 prices -- they're staying the same as 2024-25, and sales start March 3. I'm planning on renewing for Wintergreen for next year since we've got a place up there -- hoping they can repeat what's been a really hit-it-out-of-the-park season! Went ahead and got an Indy+ add-on yesterday too.

Interesting that the lowest price tier ends on March 24.  Quite a price jump after that.  College and Military rates stay the same until Oct. 13.

$29 for 75+, and kids 5 and under.

Public sale for the 2025-26 Indy Pass is open.  Any guesses as to how long before the sales period ends?

Six new locations were announced with four outside the USA.  Burke in VT and Tenney in NH were added for New England.

Indy Pass sales are ending on March 10, 2025.  As always, hard to predict when/if another sales period will happen.

Deadlines for the best deals for Epic, Ikon, and Mountain Collective are coming up soon.

Ikon changes on April 17.

Mountain Collective has the bonus day until April 28.

April 13 is the deadline for Epic.  That may only change the number of Buddy Tickets and Bring A Friend Tickets.
