The mag has a slightly new layout and format than last year, but from what I read this morning, so far so good.
Powder tries to appeal more to the "skier" as opposed to someone interested in what Ski calls, "the ski lifestyle."
This translates into more ski related content and fewer restaurant reviews, real estate pieces, trophy home profiles, etc. It also means more pictures and less text--something I don't always appreciate.
Ski and Skiing (same company) definitely have better writers, but Powder tries harder and feels less commercial.
Bottom line: I subscribe to all three magazines.
I used to get Ski Canada as well, and am sorry I dropped it but the extra cost of postage translated into an expensive subscription for what I was getting.
