Looks like the WVU stadium at the end of yesterdays Oklahoma / West Virginia football game.

I can't tell, are the Cupp Run guns blasting or is that just natural snow?

He told me they were only blowing air in the lines right now.  That's all natural snow.

They are REALLY laying it down in the basin.

This guy was going wild at Snowshoe this weekend.  Scott mentioned it in his homepage write up.

Yes!!! Here is from their FB page:

OPENING DAY UPDATE: The lifts start spinning and the ropes drop at 9:00AM this Friday, November 25th! We will open with limited, top-to-bottom beginner terrain in the Central Basin in time for the Holiday weekend, with both Ballhooter and Powder Monkey lifts running. The #MountaineerParkscrew will have a fun little set-up on Lower Powder Monkey for those of you just itching to jib something.

Come on up and enjoy a fun, family Thanksgiving on the Mountain and then ski off all of that turkey and stuffing the next day. Our holiday plans call for great food, music and family events, including the traditional holiday tree-lighting and caroling in the village.

Special thanks to our snowmaking crew for working so hard to make it happen!

With the long-range forecast for continuing weather and cold temp cooperation, we anticipate expanding terrain as normal and we believe all looks great heading into a snowy December. Who’s ready?

Snowshoe just posted that they are closing the slopes today due to the heavy rain and plan to open back up tomorrow.

Bought lift tickets last night for this Sunday, Dec 4. Normally I would not make the trip with such limited terrain open but I will be at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank this weekend for a Scout trip, so I figured it would be worth it to head on up. Hopefully they will be able to at least keep Spruce open.

Sounds like a few of us might be out there this weekend, anybody want to meet at the boathouse or something...or spruce for some apres?

Also, I think spruce will be open Friday, and definitely Saturday based on coverage from last weekend and the forecast
