I'm not a huge fan of this chain but they put together a well done flyer for this year's Dilly Sale (which is not a swap). They have some pretty good deals: https://www.sunandski.com/dilly-lookbook
The Alpine Ski Swap is solid and since it benefits the Timberline Ski Patrol if you go maybe you'll find out if the patrol thinks there will be any skiers to patrol for this season! Oct 6 & 7; Nov 3 & 4

Poor Liberty Ski Patrol, their past two swap locations have closed, hopefully better luck with the new Ski Center LTD Swap, October 28: http://www.libertyskipatrol.org/
Pro-Ski Ski Shop in Leesburg, is having their first of two swaps this Sunday, the 23rd to support Whitetail's Patrol. They have a pretty cool promotion going on right now too, if you buy a ski/boot package you get a free hour lesson at their indoor ski training center. My fiance and I used it last year, and it was pretty incredible. Here is the link for more information: https://pro-fitski.com/2018/09/2018-ski-sale/

How did you find out about the ski/boot/lesson deal? Couldn't find that on the website.
I did a prviate lesson at Inside Ski as a perk for supporting the fundraising effort they had for the installation. A friend did a series of lessons this summer with her L3 instructor from Liberty. No question that it's good for working on technique when the slopes aren't open. Get quite a workout. Way more than the outdoor slope at Liberty Snowflex in Lynchburg.
I'm on their listserve. I'll see if I can get them to post on their facebook page or website. They're also doing a joint tent sale with Bicycle Outfitters.
One other thing I was in yesterday, and they have a very solid selection of this year's best skis/boots. Just picked up the Lange RS 130's and going back over today to make a hard decision between the Head Kore, Liberty Origin, or Fischer Ranger TI.
Has anyone skied this years models?
Driftland in Davis has theirs next weekend during Leaf Peepers on the 28,29, 30th. A percentage goes to Challenged Athletes of West Virginia. I give equipment to the swap and donate all proceeds to the CAWV.
The Timberline Patrol is in the dark as the mountain is.
If you have not been to the Alpine Ski Swap, it has grown to the largest swap in the DC area. The shop is accepting gear at the Sterling store this week. The Patrol and Shop Staff work the swap helping skiers select the right gear for them. While you are there, check the advance and expert gear.
October 6, Saturday the swap in open to the public at 9:00am and 10:00am on Sunday. By noon, we generally have sold out of the most popular boot sizes.
