can recommend some ski stores in DC or norhtern virginia??

Around Haymarket: Ski Chalet in Chantilly, there is a Galyans near there too. Alpine Ski Shop in Sterling. These have websites.

i read some posts on here were peopel were taking about a store in DC?? is that a big store??

In DC there is the Ski Center, a local institution, especially for boot fitting.
But for my money, you won't do better than SKI CHALET, with stores in Arlington, Chantilly, Tysons, Rockville and Richmond. Good service, trained experienced staff, the best.
