A posting from Jimmy in the "Editor" window had a fantastic idea and I think all that agree with him should chime in, but here on the most used window. Jimmy said "Scott, Just left the online store, doing some prospecting for christmas list. Have you considered a DCSki ski pin. Lots of people collect trail pins, maybe this would be a good seller?"
I AGREE! A DISTINCTIVE DCSKI PIN COULD BE DISPLAYED ON A HAT, JACKET COLLER, OR ??? AND WOULD INTRODUCE "DCSKIers" TO ONE ANOTHER. WHAT DO THE REST OF THE DCSKI USERS THINK?

Great idea. I just added pins to the DCSki "T-Shirts and Stuff" store, which is operated by CafePress:

http://www.cafepress.com/dcski/

The pins are 2.25 inches in diameter (a little big, but the only size they have). I have ordered the 2.25-inch magnets in the past, and the printing came out well on them; it looks like the magnet and buttons are identical material/printing except for the back. I set the price to $2 for each pin or $15 for a 10-pack.

Thanks,

Now if Scott would just add a buttonup baseball jersey with the DCSki logo on the front and a number on the back then I'd be game.

It's down towards the bottom of the page -- under the section "Cards, Prints and More". It's a button -- so it's larger than the standard ski pins, but that's the closest CafePress offers.

I thought a toboggan was a sled like wooden device with a curled front that one rode down the hill, or in a toboggan chute. What does a toboggan hat look like?

Colonel are you from the mid west? I get that same reponse from my Chicago buddy when I mention putting my sled on my head.

How much would it cost to have a real 'pin' rather than a button for DCSki? You know, something on the order of what most ski resorts do? Does anyone have any contacts with Snow time to see who does their pins for Liberty, Whitetail etc?

I would love to anti up for a pin like that to go on my cowboy 'ski hat' I wear when I travel outside of MidAtlantic. You would be surprised how many people comment on our hats and try to figure out where each pin is from. I suspect my hat is the equivalent of clumps of faded lift passes that hang off other peoples jackets but its so much more fun!

Tobaggan hat looks like a ski mask without the face mask part.
Tobaggan hat looks like beanie hat but thicker and folded as if there is another headband added onto the beanie hat.
Use search engine on the internet and you will see what it looks like.

Scott,
I suspect that many of us would be willing to shell out for a "real" "DCSki" ski pin similar to those sold at the various ski areas. Any chance we could go for this rather than the "tin button" type pin on your "shirts and things" site?
