What's that white stuff in 7spring's webcam images? Will they be open this weekend?
snow all gone
Does any one know why Seven Springs didn't make any more snow this week? Usual them and Snowshoe lead the way. But this week it seams like Snowshoe and Tline has gotten a hugh jump over Seven Springs. I am a little worried because I was hoping to get some turn in during Thanksgiving break. With the current weather forecast I might not be able to do that. Unless they make a hugh effort this weekend. They should be able to make snow all weekend long and I know in years past they have opened up the entire resort within a week when they had constant below freezing temps. So I am hoping that they make the effort to get the front face covered this weekend. I would think they would be able to do that with the snow making system they have. Otherwise it looks like I won't get to ski thanksgiving break.
PRAY FOR SNOW
I have been skiing at 7-springs for 25 years and there must be a good reason for them to stop the guns. They don't miss an opportunity to blow in the base.
THINK SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See ya on the slopes
I guess they were just testing some equipment. It's 36 and raining there now, so it was probably a good call to wait for some colder temps and a forecast to stay cold. It would be getting washed away now. Why can't it be 4 degrees colder and snowing!? Arrgh!
Shearer, Patience grasshopper
. 13 days til ski season, take it to the bank. My prediction, 7 springs will open the front face wednesday 11/24, Northface slope will open at noon on Friday 11/26. See ya on the slopes.

Well Jimmy, you missed the 13 day prediction by a long shot
Need to think more like Dec 18 if we're lucky. Forecasts are pretty sketchy through next week. Only a few opportunities to make snow at night unless something drastically changes fast.
I am very familiar with the taste of foote. You're right, 7 Springs isn't saying much but I'm certain the rain that's predicted for monday will be snow. (Maybe I'm beginning to like the taste of foote)
Wow, Matt you finally found this place! Same old same old! No snow, no cold. It even snuck into my mind to run down to
Snowshoe next week. O the pain of it all.
Shearer, it seems that 7S has been slightly warmer than either fo the southern areas you mentioned. With temps jsut at 30F and higer humidity it can be tough to get the snow right. T-Line has had much colder temps arround mid 20s at night according to others here on this site.
Welcome Ullr, I've seen your posts on the Weather Channel message board.(I'm assuming you're the same Ullr)

I was thinking the same thing. Cheap flop in Elkins and ski Sat/Sun down there.
You know what really burns my ass? Firetruckin' slopes in NC are open! NC??? How does that happen?!?!?
Even better, T-Line says they will open 12/9. It's closer

Easy, have ski areas at near 6000 feet elevation.
